2006 Chapter Goals
- Obtain Superior Merit Award for 2006. (Entire Board)
Develop a financial management strategy to ensure the organization remains financially stable. (Treasurer)
- Develop/enhance relationships with other local chapters to coordinate efforts in relation to programming, wage survey, L&L conference, etc. - during the first quarter 2006. (President)
- Establish relationship with Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce/West Shore Chamber of Commerce to explore a partnership on activities such as wage survey, L&L conference, and promotion of HRPCPA during the first quarter 2006. (President)
- Develop and implement a succession plan for Board of Directors and committees – during the first quarter. (Entire Board)
- Evaluate and assess the need for Directors & Officers Liability Insurance – during first quarter. (Legislative)
- Design, develop and deliver HR programs that are consistent with and support HRP goals and SHRM goals to provide educational and professional development opportunities to or members in 2006. (Program)
- Provide HR related vendor sponsorships or programs to educate membership with regard to available resources in 2006. (Program)
- Conduct at least one program on “Diversity in the Workplace” each year. (Program)
- Explore options for mentoring programs for HR Professionals and present to Board by end of second quarter. (Professional Development)
- Increase participation with Partnership for Career Education by promoting specific workforce readiness initiatives to HRP Membership by second quarter. (Vice President)
- Promote certification to membership by sponsoring a chapter study group in the spring of 2006 and the Villanova program in fall 2006. (Professional Development)
- Conduct a successful/profitable Legal & Legislative Conference during Spring 2006. (Legislative)
- Reach an industry diverse membership goal of 350 by year-end. (Membership Committee)
- Evaluate the needs of wage survey information among the membership, and identify the best method to provide the information to the membership. Evaluation completed by third quarter. (Wage Committee)
