2007 Chapter Goals
- Obtain Superior Merit Award for 2007. (Entire Board)
- Develop a financial management strategy to ensure the organization remains financially stable. (Treasurer/Financial Committee)
- Appoint a nominating committee the first quarter as defined by chapter by-laws to identify the 2008 Board of Directors by October 2007. (President)
- Design, develop and deliver HR programs that are consistent with and support HRP goals and SHRM goals to provide educational and professional development opportunities to our members in 2007. (Program Committee)
- Provide HR related vendor sponsorships or programs to educate membership with regard to available resources in 2007. (Program Committee)
- Conduct at least one program on “Diversity in the Workplace” each year. (Program Committee)
- Launch mentoring program the first quarter. (Professional Development)
- Continue participation with Partnership for Career Education by promoting specific workforce readiness initiatives to HRP Membership. (Vice President)
- Promote certification to membership by sponsoring a chapter study group in the spring of 2007 and the Villanova program in fall 2007. (Professional Development)
- Conduct two profitable conferences (Spring/Fall). (Conference Committee)
- Reach an industry diverse membership goal of 350 by year-end. (Membership Committee)
- Identify additional recruiting sources for new members (i.e. other professional organizations, schools offering HR degrees/programs, etc.) first quarter. (Membership Committee)
- Achieve an 80% retention rate during the 2007-year. (Membership Committee)
- Continue to develop and maintain the HRP web site to serve HRP members’ needs and to promote HRP activities and the benefits of HRP membership to non-members and others in the HR community; continue to communicate and promote HRP activities to HRP members through the HRP web site, HR Corner Newsletter and HRP-gram. (Communications Committee)
- Provide monthly legal updates to the membership. (Legislative Committee)
- In conjunction with the Harrisburg Regional Chamber, produce a wage survey for the Central Pennsylvania area to be distributed by 4 th quarter. (Wage Survey Committee)
