2008 Chapter Goals

  1. Develop and implement strategies to engage SPHR and senior H.R. members in the chapter and its activities.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to continually improve the talents of our leadership team.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to continually improve our communications to the membership.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to improve the percentage of members engaged in the chapter activities.
  5. Design, develop and present programs that appeal to all segments of our membership (SPHR, PHR, and non-certified).
  6. Implement strategies to upgrade committee involvement to at least 8-10 per committee.
  7. Implement the mentoring/sponsorship concept in 2008.
  8. Develop clear roles & expectations on the part of all Board members.
  9. Achieve Superior Merit award for 2008.
  10. Implement strategies to grow our sponsorship list.
  11. Provide opportunities for networking & problem-solving for all chapter members.
  12. Provide business updates in addition to legal/legislative updates on a monthly basis.
  13. Partnership with Harrisburg Regional Chamber or other local SHRM chapters for Lunch & Learn programs as well as Conferences.
  14. Improve our diversity initiatives by creating a task force to inform and educate our members.
