Membership Categories

General Membership: Those individuals who are engaged in the profession of human resource management; or certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute; or faculty members holding an assistant, associate, or full professor rank in human resource management or any of its specialized functions at an accredited college or university; or full-time consultants; or full-time attorneys with experience in counseling and advising clients on matters relating to the human resource profession. General Members may vote and hold office in the Chapter.

Associate Emeritus: A person who was a General Member of the Chapter for a period of at least five (5) consecutive years and who has retired from employment. Associate Emeritus members may vote and hold office in the Chapter.

Student Members: Individuals who are actively enrolled in human resource degree programs at the college or university level. Student members may not vote and may not hold office in the Chapter.

Volunteer Opportunities

Becoming a member of HRP of Central PA provides the opportunity to learn more about, and participate on the committees that drive our chapter. Committee Participation is a valuable tool to help you (and the Chapter) advance the value of our profession within your organization and within our community. Please consider which committee you may be interested in learning more about, and potentially volunteering to in some fashion. Don't forget, participation on a committee earns PHR/SPHR recertification credits, allows for additional networking opportunities with peers, and provides professional skills development.

Following your indication of interest below, you will be contacted by the Director of the specified committee. The purpose of this contact will be to provide you with information regarding the goals of the committee and an overview of ways you are able to positively impact those goals while meeting your needs at the same time.

I hereby apply for renewal of membership in HRP of Central PA and agree to pay the application membership dues. I recognize and accept the responsibilities incumbent upon me as a member of the Human Resource profession. I understand that this membership will run concurrent with the HRP of Central PA fiscal year. I pledge to practice and uphold the code of ethics of the Society for Human Resource Management, and agree to abide by the bylaws of HRP of Central PA.

I do hereby give HRP of Central PA, their assigns, licenses, and legal representatives the irrevocable right to use my name, picture, portrait, photograph, image, or voice in all forms and media and in all manners, including composite or purpose, and I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written copy, that may be created in connection therewith. I also agree that this releases HRP of Central PA and any and all of its representatives from any and all monetary obligations or payments to me or any or all of my authorized representatives for use of video, films, photographs, image and/or voice of myself. I am of full legal age. I have read this release and am fully familiar with its contents.

No member may actively solicit business from any other member either at Chapter meetings or through the use of information provided to him/her as a member of the Chapter without approval by the Board of Directors.
